I don't put much faith in polls. I guess there are a few fencesetters that jump side to side, but I am not one of them. I was for President Bush before the debate and I will be for President Bush after the debates. I figure the Kerry people feel the same way. Besides President Bush did very well in the debate, so why should Kerry be catching up?

---you put a lot of faith in them when they showed Bush ahead. I said the other night if the polls swung like this Bush is toast. I don't think he can pull it out in the remaining debates becuase he'll have to be more aggressive which will be spun as to negative just like Gore in 2000. The Bush team got sucked and we will have to pay for it by having 4 years of Kerry.

The only positive thing is that now Hillary will not be able to run in 2008

I have my own (differing) opinion about how W. did in the debates, so I won't go into that again. This is what you have to consider, as well as others here who are taking on an unrealistic Pollyanna, head-in-the-sand attitude. The mushy middle is not passionate for one candidate or the other, so they can/are going to be swayed by the debates. The average Joe and Jane are not like the true believers on either side, so we have to face facts and not live in a bubble and believe what we want to believe.
