The Republican National Committee has audio from the debate on its website, so it appears both campaigns have decided to not stick to the agreement.

I predict November 2 will be "lawyers day" in America.

We are going to see so many attacks on election returns...it will make our heads spin.

It will be a mess.

Bush needs to SWEEP to prevent this. We need big numbers. We don't need close races.

This violates memorandum of understanding. Lets cancel the rest of the debates.

Big loophole. The DNC did not sign the memorandum.

This goes along with what I told my husband this morning...don't worry, Kerry is going to get even more cocky now since the polls say he won the debate. It will be tacky and only do him harm.

True...

But if they are not bound by it, niether is Bush-Cheney `04. Break out an ad with "pass the global test" - and another with the "give Iran nuclear fuel" - then walk out on the other two presidential debates.

"Dims think this is a potent tactic - after all debate reactions were as responsible as anything for sinking Gore last time."

Dims also think Gore won the election, so... their judgement is questionable at best.

The Dems behave as if we're casting for the role of President in a film because it's all about acting/appearance, not about substance. This is deplorable, but merely demonstrates their broken moral compass. They are operating from the Hollywood playbook: style without substance.

I feel much, much better about last night now and last night I thought Bush won.

This is a diversion, friends. They got nothing useful from last night.

The more I think of it, Kerry's performance seems worse and worse. He spoke clearly and was articulate and composed. BUT-- what we heard mostly was a laundry list of what is wrong and very little about what he would do to correct things. I can't see where many undecideds out there would be clear on what exactly he was saying. I just wish Mr Bush had pointed out more of Kerry's failures and vacillations, and his disastrous Senate record.

Yeah. This is just fun for the hardliners. Bush looked disgusted, but it wasn't like he was smug like Gore or arrogant like Kerry. Most people will understand the look of disgust.

This is why split screens during debates are bullsh!t. They were up there for an hour and a half. Every little twitch, blink or facial expression could be caused by any number of factors. Can you imagine having someone stare at your face, uninterrupted for an hour and a half? Good grief. Kerry made faces too. Big deal.

This reminds me of movie awards show that spend 6 hours on the red carpet talking about clothes, jewelry and hairstyles, then spend 2 hours on the actual content.

That's exactly what I thought. I went to the video expecting to cringe, yet I left thinking "That's it?" I also felt it was a poorly edited clip. Many times President is blinking too fast and much to be natural, like they either sped up the tape, or clipped it together. It looks like a real bad amateur did it.

It's petty, and this is from someone extremely critical of our President last night on style (not substance). It makes a parody of what could have been a devastating video. It makes me think that they remembered the parodies of Al Gore 4 years ago, and wanted to do the same thing with President Bush but failed miserably.

But, who cares. Bush is a real person. That speaks volumes to what Kerry is: A person of all faces.<<<

That's right. And I would add that at least President Bush HAS expression. Kerry is so full of BOTOX, he could not look worried, annoyed, or tired if he tried!

Furthermore, President Bush had a lot more on his mind, and a lot more to do than relax before a debate while getting his nails done! Of course a refreshed, un-worried Kerry can "pull off" a debate.

Kerry did OK for a Democrat, the morons who make up the democrat base will call him a winner, but in substance, kerry is a loser.

The DNC doesn't appear to be a party to the Memorandum of Understanding, so I don't see how any action taken by it, no matter how dispicable, could be viewed as breach.

Don't be such a bunch of crybabies.

Our man is doing fine, and ducking out would just make him look like a whining loser.
