It seems to me that Kerry "won" this debate

Nah... he didn't win... Bush was just... just bad.

They ain't debates... they're question & answer sessions judged by style and delivery.

Bush flunked the latter badly... and he got a 'C' on the questions & answers. In short, he came close to 'stinkin' out the house'.

Kindly restrict your gloom and doom to just one thread. I'm already tired of hearing your pessimism from the other thread I just left.

I agree wholeheartedly. Bush was neither focused nor articulate. His halting approach was an embarrassment as it appeared to me that he was always searching for the "right" words as opposed to defending his position or attacking Kerry's. As I said in another post, he left a lot of low-hanging fruit with Kerry. He could have closed the deal if only he had listened and responded to Kerry's ridiculous statements instead of repeating the same mantras over and over again. I know I'm being harsh, but this election is too important for the President to perform this badly again. Again, as I said in another post, I fear that we now, more than ever, need a big October surprise to put this race away.
