I think you should give the American public more credit. I was thinking the same thing to myself as I watched. I wondered what W really wanted to say about the war that is classified so he can't etc.
Unfortunately that's why he comes across as underselling the war.
Something tells me that if I zoned out, the swing voters probably joined me. I seriously doubt that enough people saw the whole thing to seriously affect the election one way or another.
