Yes, I got annoyed when I heard Bush pass up chance after chance to absolutely bisect Kerry - the one that annoyed my most was when Kerry went on and on about the troops not having body armor and Bush didn't immediately mention that Kerry had voted against giving it to them - but he was trying to stay "above the fray", so to speak. Look Presidential, don't sink to Kerry's level, you get the idea.I guess so, but it was annoying. Maybe it was OK to the mushy middle, but I don't think they even know about Kerry's vote against the armor funding. I don't know how Kerry could say that with a straight face, though.

Bush really missed a chance to nail Kerry when he said he didn't phrase the $87B vote well, but what's important is that he got the vote right. Bush should have said, "So you still think that voting against the troops in time of war is the right thing to do?"
