I give the edge to Kerry but doubt this will make much difference in the polls.

Peter Jennings reported that their ABC poll showed that 45% believed Kerry won the debate, 36% believed Bush won. BUT Bush picked up one percent of those polled in terms of who they'd vote for. He started with 50% of the votes of those polled, and ended with 51%. Go figure!

Most people expected F'n to win the debate tonight. As far as I am concerned, he did win on technical points, but he did not capture the hearts of Americans.

We didn't get the knockout punch tonight that I hoped we might, and Kerry may have made up a little bit of ground, but W is still the solid front-runner.

I think IF he picks up points is because it was clear that he was very annoyed by Kerry. And it just scream to me that anyone can be an armchair quarterback (Kerry).

I personally think he let Kerry rattle him because Kerry was wrong the President knew it and his body language spoke volumns. JMO
