I feel blue, too.
Bush was very good on O'Reilly earlier this week - assertive, well-spoken, and looked like a leader. Everything he WASN'T tonight. What happened? Does he have good days and bad days? Was he intimidated by Lurch (I find that hard to believe).

What this really underscores, for me and obviously for others here, is just how important we feel this election is - consciously or not, we were really hoping to see Bush put Lurch away... to knock him out... to take out more of the element of risk that these lying RAT Socialist Anti-American creeps will take over the country... we didn't get that, by a long shot.

No wonder it's not a happy night.

you're absolutely right, alas. this was not the president's finest hour. there were a hundred places where he could have, with a smile on his face and love in his heart, dismembered kerry. and he didn't. he was defensive the entire time, and it came off poorly. there is no way to argue rationally that bush won the debate.

here's hoping most people watched the football game.

What? You must have been watching a different debate than I did. Man, Woman, Whoever, Kerry was still Kerry. Bush was still Bush. Nope. I was thumbs up all the way. Mantan versus Suntan. No contest.
