I recall the last debates in 2000 when people said Gore won the first one. As it turned out, he lost it. Where did he lose it? In the living rooms all across America

Now that I think of it, I remember the talking heads on Fox News (Brit Hume, Mara Liason, etc) discussing how Gore won the debate. They were flabbergasted the next day when Gore's approval went down. Seems most Americans don't like being treated like know-nothing pubes and especially were offended at being talked down to.
