That's not a violation. They can take notes. They just can't bring notes in with them.

Kerry taking notes, using note pad....violation of debate rules. Who will call him on it? It's not a violation -- the rules specify that they're allowed to take notes with pen and paper that have been submitted for approval.

No, the rules state that you can take notes.
Look guys, I'm a charter member of the Grim FReeper Club and I thought it's Kerry race to lose (which he is doing a great job at it), but Bush is doing OK. Me think you want Bush to go over to Kerry and punch him. Slow and easy guys.
