So, my new pal : ), do you know very much about your grandfather's service? Was he a Marine? My dad was a Navy Corpsman (PhM2c), attached to the 4th Marine Division. He was a tough guy...he referred to Iwo as a "skirmish". : )

Either get glasses,or get new ones. You aren'r seeing things clearly at all.
To: nopardons
Yah but she can never get close to being President and Hillary will get close. 2008 will be a nightmare.

This nation would not survive a Kerry presidency.

I will, and a lot like me, more than enough.

"And now we see be-headings. And we got weapons of mass destruction crossing the border every single day, and they're blowing people up. And we don't have enough troops there."
I COULD NOT BELEIVE IT WHEN HE SAID THAT!!! I wrote it down plus I have it taped. They know the WMD issue is a big lie and a bunch of empty posturing. They know WMD exist and in the heat of debate it slips out. That is the trouble with being too clever and lying. The lies and truth get mixed up.
Once again, Kerry said a lot of stupid things tonight.

I think someone was reading straight from the rules prior to the debate and I heard him say no clips from the debate can be used by either party. I asked if that was anyone else's understanding and haven't seen an answer yet, but I am always a few hundred posts behind on reading. Ha!
I love the link you had--that is priceless and hopefully will be repeated at least on the talk shows tomorrow.

Rant away and many thanks for posting what you did!
And know, please, that you and the others, who have been so hammered by the hurricanes, have been and still are in my prayers,as well as in many others'.

Well aren't we lucky here in the Fresno area. Helen Thomas is in town and I just got to see her reaction to the debate on the local news. I'm guessing that she is probably staying at Jim's house.
To: Fatalis
No, but my brother might be...are you house-trained? ; )

Grandpa was a CeeBee. He was working in Alaska when the war started. He went from the Arctic to the South Pacific. He was already 35. He had pictures and such but never talked about it with me until his last couple of years. He built runways and latrines.

Maybe and maybe not.Hillary may NEVER be president, but Terry Kerry will always have her vast wealth to spread around and her international contacts.

"yea I don't get it.... Why couldn't he use them? They're right! So frustrating watching him sit there and take it." It's called being "Presidential". Notice that Carrie didn't convey that persona.

Helen Thomas...staying WITH the Robinsons? Is THAT supposed to be "funny"? If so,it isn't!
To: musicman
Thank you for your post and I agree completely, President Bush did fine especially under the circumstances and as I posted previously, He held his own and that is all he had to do. We all know that Pres. Bush is not a great debater but he does connect with people in substance.
To: MagnumRancid
Well, that was the point of taking Iwo - so the construction battallion guys could turn it into something we could use (referring now to the runways, more than the latrines - LOL). That was life-saving work. You must be very proud.
To: musicman
I was reluctant to add to this long thread but I just HAVE to tell you a big THANK YOU for reminding us of this! My heart goes out not only to you and your neighbors in Florida but also our incredible President.

Glad to hear it.
How many won't?
How many lives did the Clinton presidency cost?
To: DaughterOfAnIwoJimaVet
Sorry not at all. LOL
To: DaughterOfAnIwoJimaVet
Grandpa was Grandpa. I never thought much about being proud of him. I respected him.
