Bingo. Watching the split-screen on CSPAN, it's clear that Bush is reacting to Kerry's words emotionally, and chugging down the glasses of water, while Kerry is cool and more statesman-like. I love Dubya, but that's how I see it on TV...
I feel EXactly the same way. He's pissed and I don't blame him. I get extremely pissed when kerry talks. at least I can leave the room. Kerry is coming off as the pompous a$$ that he is.

I have to agree. I almost feel sorry for Bush. He has not done well while Kerry, despite his record of flip-flops has shown himself to be a good debater. He is a liar though...he just said that he has never waivered. I don't know that this debate will make a difference in the election though. As another poster said, it's like watching a train wreck.

He may have been a little nervous but I think it was Kerry's lies that got him riled more than nervousness.
Overall I have to say Kerry did better as a debator but Bush sounds passionate in defending his policies. That has to count for something.

I don't say this lightly, but with this debate, the 527s, the media, and the obvious unwillingness to fight back on Bush's part, we're looking at Kerry for at least 4 years...That's the first time I've ever felt that way... The race is his to lose from now on.

W is winning. But I am so bored with this whole thing. It's not really telling us anything new. They keep going round and round. I'm also sick of Lehrer's unfair tilting toward Kerry. He is disgusting. Even with an unfair "moderator" Bush is winning. It's also way too long at 90 minutes. Zzzzzzz.
