Thank you for posting that. My sense is that Kerry isn't doing anything to make people LIKE him and Bush isn't doing anything to make people HATE him.
For Kerry to really "win" the debate, he has to do both.

"Bush seems a bit intimidated. Bush still has time, but if he doesn't turn this around, then Kerry's going to benefit quite a bit from this debate."Bush doesn't intimidate, especially not by this fortune-hunting jerk. Bush has made a successful career of people misunderestimating him -- just as Reagan did.

Bush's authenticity is apparent. Kerry is a monday morning quarterback, sniping from the sidelines, changing the subject, micromanaging.
To: kellynch
To heck... Bush's answer about the International Court just nailed it!! And Kerry didn't get the chance to respond!! YES!!!
To: tuff_schlitz
Bush is doing fine 1 hr and 4 min in.

He would have also "kept his eye on the ball" ... it would have hit him between the eyes or dribbled through his fingers ... but he would have kept his eye on the ball ... where are those photos?

It is disrespectful to have our President
face this clown and be subjected to this
fake debate.
Kerry is just spitting sound bites into
our Presidents face with the Media's help.
It's like a GET-Bush-Roast.
But, President Bush is doing good.
It's going to be up to US to see the TRUTH.
Just like we saw Dan Rather lie and scheme for CBS,
we need to SEE the TRUTH.

I really, really need your perspective.

How did you get that meter? What does it mean? Is there one for Bush, too?

Well we just lost the election
Well, there you damn losers go again.
Fair weather, gutless, jump on the winning bandwagon but run like a scaled dog at the first sign of trouble.
Pathetic.
I agree. Is this some sort of Right wing sickness? The need to constantly run down and deride your own side as "losing"? You better believe the Left isn't doing this. No matter how stupid or insulting Kerry is all we are going to hear out of the Hysteric Left is how great Kerry did and how Bush blew it. The only thing I can figure is that there is a certain wing of the Republican party who think they are some how being "intellectual" and "unbasied" when they run down their own side. Frankly, I have to wonder, just whoes side are the whiners really on? Why this constant need to run down Bush? This constant negativity is NOT a sign of intellectual ability, it is a sign of ignorence.

Listening on radio....The President doesn't sound so hot. Sen. Kerry sounds authorative....even though everything he's talking about is all 2nd guessing.

I caught that too! Couldn't believe it!

I am on Mr.C4E's laptop in the living room while watching the debate. We are both yelling at the TV. I wish I had a dart gun to shoot darts at the screen and hit Kerry. Kerry is just continuing with the spewing forth his rhetoric of usual garbage. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

"we should all drink when kerry mentions viet nam or tells us how great he is by taking both sides of an issue"
You're either an alcohol distributor or author of a clever plan to give alcohol poisoning to the GOP.
To: Aquakat
I hope never to be in the same foxhole as you.
If you are really listening to kerry, I mean really listening, you will hear nothing but the wind blowing. He is saying N-O-T-H-I-N-G. He is trying to sound like a freakin warlord - thus alienating half his weenie base.

Forget about what they're saying. Kerry's attitude and manner are better, and on TV that, unfortunately, is the key.
I disagree. I think you are really underestimating the listener or viewer who will be swayed by this. I think President Bush is doing just fine.
