Thread 1 - Pre-Debate discussion
And it's hard to listen to BS when you have character. C'mon Pres Bush, be a cowboy, remember, this is GIRLIEMAN!
Bush should just say:
"YOU'RE GOING TO DO THIS AND YOU'RE GOING TO DO THAT?! WOW! AFTER 20 YEARS YEARS OF DOING NOTHING IN THE SENATE, NOW YOU THINK YOU CAN LEAD? GO LEAD FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS THE COME BACK."
This is just too painful to watch. Kerry keeps giving his stump speech, and waving his hands all over the damned place. Hasn't answered one question so far, and will not (cannot) give specifics even when Lehrer's question asks for "specifics" or "specifically". Dubya needs to jump all over those diversions that Kerry keeps throwing out, but instead, he is laying back, and it does not look good. The message from the MSM, tomorrow, will be that Kerry trounced Dubya. The sheeple will follow that lead because they think the MSM is so damned smart.
I'm pissed; there goes the lead right down the crapper.
Bush is not smooth, is too defensive, and is allowing major openings to pass.
This is not going well for Bush, I'm afraid.
ITA. Something besides this inane debate is up. I'm not comfortable with W's appearance tonight.
14 military bases being built in Iraq...airbases 1-2-3...we're projecting military power into the heart of the Middle East...hell, yes we are!! that's the whole point!
Kerry gonna dis Allawi again?
Kerry suks
Here we go folks!
Bush just slammed Lurch over Allawi. Take that, Joe Lockfart!
W missing the chance to ask Kerry what he did in the Senate Intelligence Committee...and how he missed chances in the months before 9/11
sKerry will not do better! And pulling troops out of Iraq will not allow the Iraqi people to have elections!
Now Kerry says he didn't say he'll pull the troops out his 6 months
And what's this he's saying about guarding nuke site??
AND THAT PEN IN KERRY'S HAND IS ANNOYING
Well we just lost the election.
The President looks like a wimp and responding very poorly. Kerry is confidant and hitting all his points. Kerry sounds convincing.
I think kerry will convince the fence sitters and add the fraud to the mix we will lose.
And I though GWB was going win by a landslide.
What the hell happened to the President.
I just hope that my expectations were so high that any performance by GWB would be poor and any performance by kerry would be good.
I am not very happy right now.
Amen.
Bush turned the corner big there...preemption now up (syria, iran, nk)??
We are in agreement. Bush is effectively communicating.
You remember the episode of the Brady Bunch when Greg insulted the Prime Minister of Iraq and they whole family had to make it better before the entire coalition crumbled?
That's what I've thought from the beginning. And I agree with those who have said the questions are loaded in favor of Kerry -- just sounds that way to me.
"How many times did Kerry AVOID saying Vietnam!?!?!?!"
LOL, good point. It had to be Really hard for him!! :)
So, we gotta give him props for that.
So everybody, take a major-league swig of whatever it is you're drinking, for every time you think Eff'in held his tongue when he was about to say: "I know something about combattttzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz"
Dubya's hitting his stride.
Kerry could care less if the Iraq's are free. Hw didn't care about freedom for Viet Nam.
