Have ever done public speaking? While terrifying to many, once you get the hang of it, it's no big deal.
Bush has had so much public speaking experience in big-time situations, starting with the 2000 debates, and of course the 9/11 speech, that by now it's old hat.
Look for him to come out completely relaxed and smiling, just like he looked at the convention. There's simply no way he's gonna get thrown off from his game; no matter what Kerry does or does not do, it will have no bearing on Bush.
That's the trick you learn as a public speaker: either you suck and you never do it again, or you have a certain knack and all you have to do is be yourself. At this point, Bush knows he can just casually be himself and win.
When you have that knowledge about yourself, it's actually a very fun experience - really like an engaging conversation. Before you know it, times up and everyone is smiling and yacking it up as they leave the conference hall.
I have and I was on my debate team in H.S.
I'm not really nervous over President Bush's performance. I really have no doubt he'll do very well indeed. More like excited, I think and I know how nasty Kerry can be.
I watched his debate with Ann Richards, and he was outstanding. He is on a roll in this campaign, and Kerry is sledding down hill. Everyone thinks the dims are the intellectuals, but they had four years to come up with a better candidate then Al Gore, and managed to come up with someone even worse. LOL
