Can she use the touch screen on the microwave?
I am not really for computerized voting at this point. I think it can and will be misused. However that said no system is ever completely secure.
I understand that some people are intimidated and I am not saying that we should think of the elderly in general. the article seemed to stick to African-American elderly in particular and I thought it just didn't sound right putting them alone in their own group. If the elderly as a whole have a problem with it I can understand, but just one racial section of the elderly I find repulsive to say unless there are some real hard cold facts behind why.
Psst!
Don't let this out to everyone, but the Republicans have fixed the voting machines so that anyone who votes for Kerry can't ever have an orgasm again.
Pass it on.
The 'rats are going to do their best to steal the election. Electronic voting allows for the potential of MASSIVE voter fraud.
I bet you if they had to operate a machine that gave out free money, they'd figure it out....
Oh...wait - that's what they think a vote for kerry is.
My mistake!
These "civil rights activists" are constantly saying things that were they to be said by whites be called racist, because they are in fact racist statements. This situation partly emanates from the postmodern, multiculturalist, racialist perspective that objective truth is a racist construct and all perception of reality is a function of one's cultural perspective.
OTOH, these magic boxes DO have the ability to steal one's soul!
If it was touch screen voting machines, I can't believe anyone who wanted to shouldn't be able to use them. Where I live the drivers permit knowledge test at the BMV is touch screen. The majority of people here aren't incredibly sophisticated and I don't know of any complaint about the machines. Our voting is the old fashioned kind with paper punching, and again, no complaints that I've heard of. Other than that they wondered why Kerry Conceded and hated having Bush as president again(I was happy with the results) Anyway, Rangle must have had a ball when he heard of this.
I agree with you somewhat. I think its better for Blacks to get more colleges in their neighborhoods, but to give handouts will only hurt them, in the long run. It reminds me of when Congress tried to get a bill through that would've given Blacks and minorities extra points on the Civil service test. One politician, I believe said something like : It's not fair for people to be hired for merit. What else do you hire someone for? I'd hope they get the job because they're the best qualified and the most diligent. How can Blacks/Minorities keep their pride if they are given handouts? It should be opportunities, not handouts.
