I know that's not true. You can't just extent your IRR for longer without re-upping for more training.

And even if such policy existed, there's no way you'll convince me that Kerry would've done it. And I can't help but wonder why you would be making such a wild and untrue argument in favor of Kerry (earlier in the thread--your suggestion of 30+ years of IRR for Kerry).

Were you in the military? And if so, what branch and for how long...?

Officers don't "re-up". A commissioned officer stays a commissioned officer until he either resigns his commission or until the Navy decides to discharge him.
