I found FR on Drudge also. That link brought a lot of people here in the days just before registration was initiated and for months thereafter. In the first few days of registration, getting a very low number was largely a matter of luck. Many of the oldtimers were in that first round and they happened to get higher numbers than I did, even though they had been around this place longer.
When I first lurked, I remember Arthur Wildfire! March would call people he liked Patriot____. I was pleased, but a bit amused, when he first addressed me as "Patriot Wallaby"!
Has Byron checked in?? I remember anxiously waiting for him to check in Dec. 31, 1999. Y2K on FR was such fun. Who was it that was moving to the mountains and stocking his cave, or something?? Jethro Tull??
