We listened to an excellent program on Talk Radio last night (driving across the desert here) and I think our reprezsentative AND our President have dramatically underestimated the depth of this issue to us here in the American Southwest.

They had callers suggesting putting landmines along the border (swear!!!!) also played an exceprt from PBS where the Mexicans are swearing they are going to take back their land and this mass illegal immigration is "part of the plan." This I'm beginning to believe is probably true...

My fear is due to either poor advice from McCain (who isn't getting it here, either) this is something the President is going to be beat up on badly in the debates.... except, lest I forget, Kerry swore when he was in New Mexico that he would give amnesty and citizenship to ALL illegal aliens!
