You're right, those guys looked very serious. I was too far away to make out the weapons, but the binocs did seem 2 ft. long. After Bush left, they packed up and each one had a large, maybe 4 ft. long duffle bag with their "toys". I was behind too many people to see the SUV you mentioned.
There seemed to be some helos circling, and even one cop on a horse over by some of the stores maybe 1/4 mile away.
West Chester has mounted police. I've seen them in the streets from time to time. But, with all that brush to the West, I was glad to see them (and the sharp shooters on top of the buildings).
