It's funny that the press hailed Springsteen as the new Dylan, but it wasn't until Bruce shook off the Dylan influence that Bruce became listenable. I know musical taste is about as subjective as you can get, but damn, Aquinas, you've got it bass-ackwards. Springsteen couldn't hold Dylan's jock.

Aquinas, you've got it bass-ackwards. Springsteen couldn't hold Dylan's jock. 8-) I'm a "Darkness" and "The River" guy. I think "The River" is the greatest album ever recorded by anyone.
Dylan just isn't my cup of tea.
Strangely enough, I like Steely Dan, whose "poetry" is completely indecipherable. I can't explain why I like them and not Dylan.
