I used to have a room mate who thought "Blood on the Tracks" was Dylan's best album. I argued for "Desire," and it made for many good-natured debates.

He played "Idiot Wind" over and over. Great song. Great album.

Desire is probably my least favorite Dylan album (out of his 30 some-odd). Just never got into it. ....although "Isis" is a good tune.

I have to agree w/ yr roommate - think Blood on the Tracks was his best album.

He's a good lyricist and a good musician, but good lord the boy can't sing. Hurts to listen to him wandering all over and nowhere near the key.
