So, why did the Republican National Committee pick him to deliver the keynote address on the opening night of the GOP convention?

Is Gillespie the head of the "fifth column" (translation: anyone who doesn't agree with you)?

Beats me. You will have to ask the GOP. They never asked my opinion, if they had there would not have been so many pro-death people on the GOP platform during the convention. One of the reasons I did not turn in to watch.

You also miss my point. This trend is losing the social conservatives right now. The kind of thing you point out is just the reason there is growing distrust.

As to "fifth column" I would not doubt both parties have their spies and allies within each others party. How do you explain a Morris or Gergen in the Clintoon regime and the log cabin repubs. Translate it how you want but do not expect me to be impressed, I was making a point and it sailed right past you.
