No, it's not uncalled for. The first thing she replied to me with was "Do you have any verification for that?", as if I was making it up.

That's exactly what I'd expect to see if I had posted that at DU.

I might have asked you the same question, but I already knew the back-up. Maybe she didn't, and wanted a simple source.

It is uncalled for. I don't know you, you could be somebody posting false information to FR to try to get posters to buy it and follow false leads. I see posters requesting backup of facts all the time, and they don't get a hysterical response.

I would not post something I wasn't prepared to back up with background material, and clearly you didn't either. You were able to post backup sources, so where's your beef? The backup makes your information more valuable and useful. Assuming that's your goal, then my request did you a favor.

Cool off. The fact that someone asks you politely for the source of your facts should not be taken as a personal affront to you or a sign that the person is a DU troll. We're on the same side here (at least politically), so no need to have this huge chip on your shoulder.
