fortunately, not all islamics follow or believe those practices. but then again, they aren't considered 'practising' muslims by the islamists... hence when they try to stage a revolt, the fundies kill them like cattle.
The iranians, I believe, do not have the wherewithal to tumble their own government of hardliners. I wish I was wrong about that.

Interesting guy, his platform is to return Persia to the Persians, Before there was any Islam. He is not Muslim, he advocates throwing out the Muslim rule.
And anyone who follows a religion, who's highest ideal is to murder your neighbor for passage to Paradise, IS a monster and needs to be wiped from the face of the earth. Let us hope most of them get sick of the blood shed and find a new "path" to God. (Didn't want you to think I was going soft on ya...)
I am taking Islamic Civ II class right now....just fascinating stuff about how Islam has changed from what it used to be....an enlightened culture etc.
