Early Sept. 24, Iraqi Prime Minister Ayad Allawi visited Arlington National Cemetery where he laid a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknowns in honor of those service members who have died in Iraq. He then stopped by the Pentagon where he met with more than a dozen service members who had returned to the Washington, D.C., area after serving in Iraq and 10 Army spouses whose husbands are currently in Iraq.

In case you missed the news of this historic tribute to our brave troops by a grateful Prime Minister Allawi yesterday.

Thanks, as always, for the ping. Prime Minister Allawi is both a decent and strong man...I hope representative of the future leaders of Iraq.

I did miss this news--Tom Brokaw was too busy trying to put words in Musharaff's mouth to make it sound like going into Iraq was a mistake.
How dare the MSM just IGNORE Alawi! I bet if Kadafi showed up here they would LEAD with him on the nightly news!
