"While Kerry was relatively restrained in disputing [Interim Iraqi Prime Minister Ayad] Allawi's upbeat portrayal, some of his aides suggested that the Iraqi leader was simply doing the bidding of the Bush administration, which helped arrange his appointment in June. 'The last thing you want to be seen as is a puppet of the United States, and you can almost see the hand underneath the shirt today moving the lips,' said Joe Lockhart, a senior Kerry adviser." 'The last thing you want to be seen as is a puppet of the United States, and you can almost see the hand underneath the shirt today moving the lips,' said Joe Lockhart, a senior Kerry adviser." I swear, this is getting WORSE than Vietnam. We have the leaders of the Democratic Party ACTIVELY working to undermine the interests of the United States out of their desperation to win this election. Lockhart should be frog-walked out of Kerry HQ and unceremoniously thrown into the street - except he probably represents the thinking of the Kerry campaign.
Joe Lieberman, you're one of the few halfway sane Dems left. You have rightly supported the war. It is time for you to stand up, foresake politics, and denounce this. Call for Lockhart's immediate firing. And demand that Kerry offer alternative visions for Iraq that do not increase the risk to our troops fighting there.

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Allawi chosen as a surprise to the US over another person that we wanted and the MSM criticized Bremer over this?

The real story is how Kerry's administration will make fun of another country's leader, after all they've been through!
Kerry is irrelevant anyway!

Allawi deserved to be treated with honor and respect. Kerry stole Allawi's honor yesterday.

No need to try to make sense of their desperate insanity!
Kerry is like the fighter that just gets punched in the face so many times, he wins because you get tired of punching him.

'The last thing you want to be seen as is a puppet of the United States, and you can almost see the hand underneath the shirt today moving the lips,' said Joe LockhartWell, on second thought, I can see why Joe might feel this way. He spent a few years with Hillary's arm rammed up his ass, moving his lips.
