From the story about the recent poll results I posted in #15:...Even poll respondents who identified themselves as Republicans give Keyes less than a 50 percent approval rating. When asked who they would vote for today, just 48 percent of Republicans named Keyes - while almost one in five Republicans are defecting to Obama. Meanwhile, independent voters - crucial to any Republican victory in Illinois - are backing Obama almost 4-to-1...That's disconcerting.

No, that poll should be illegal. This one is accurate.

The Post-Dispatch poll is consistent with the Trib poll done Aug. 13-16. In that one, it was Obama 65%-Keyes 24%. In this one, it's Obama 68%-Keyes 24%. If the candidates have done internal polling that shows differently, I haven't seen it.
