"A delegation of senators yesterday told US soldiers massed on the Iraqi border that it is unlikely US forces will intervene in Iraq's civil war and predicted that the soldiers will return home soon to a hero's welcome.."

AHHH. And this statement conveyed to Saddam that he had "free rein" to wipe out the Shia resistance in the south. Which he did with utmost brutality.
Whether Schwartzkof told the senators the US would "not intervene" - or not- by this statement, John Effin gave Saddam a green light.

Thus as in 1970/71 when he met with the NViets and VietCong, "Kerryism" revealed itself. By giving aid and succor to our enemies (in this case, Saddam) Kerry's ill-timed statement contributed to the deaths of THOUSANDS of Iraqis in the aftermath of DESERT STORM. Anyone want to check the timeline of this statement and the beginning of the Iraqi helicopter assault on the Shia?

PS: TerAyza- we found a scumbag for ya'. Look on the pillow next to yours.

Exactly. Once again aiding and abetting the enemy.
