Captain's Quarter is reporting that O'Reilly ran a 2001 interview with Kerry last night in which Kerry said that he was in Safwan for the armistice signing ending the 1st Gulf War. The Captain then goes through a time line of Kerry's contemporaneous activities and questions if it was true.
This man just cannot be in the Oval Office.
They should put him under the table in that picture.
Well, he wasn't there on March 3 OR April 6, so he's still a liar.
Works for me.
Safwan is yellow, isn't it?
That when the Iraq Army surrendered. I'm assuming that would be one and the same?
that is so wrong.....lmao
That's the only time anything was signed in Safwan.
You have to wonder if he lies to his wife and the rest of his family as much as he does to the rest of the world.
Where was the final peace treaty signed?
I don't know about the UN Resolution but it wasn't signed in Safwan. He said he was in Safwan and the only cease fire signed there was on March 3, 1991.
He voted for the ceasefire before he voted against it....
The article does refer to a formal ceasefire yet to be signed, as of March 17, so what was signed on March 3 was presumably an interim ceasefire. We'd have to make certain he hadn't been there when the final, formal ceasefire was signed sometime after March 17.... still, as much as I detest Kerry's exaggerations and lies, I don't think this one will carry weight with anyone who's not already a Kerry-critic. Others will say it's just picking nits....
"Once a formal cease-fire is signed, the senators said, troops would be heading home."
Great photo! That theme would make a wonderful campaign commercial, showing Kerry appearing Forrest Gump-like at every historic moment in the past 40 years in his baby-blue NASA garb..... voice-over could say, "John Kerry tells us he's been part of many historic events, but no one can seem to remember any actual contributions he's made...."
The formal cease fire was signed April 6th....according to official Amry records....
This is kind of like relying on Kerry's after action reports in Vietnam. The formal cease fire is Resolution 687 adopted by the UN Security Council on April 3, 1991. I'm assuming the diplomats took over and the signatures were obtained at the UN. No mention of further negotiations at Safwan. Negotiations began there on March 1, 1991 and concluded with the cease fire signing on March 3, 1991.
When pig flies.
Did you hear Kerri's sound like GW talk today re terrorism.
Your #28........you owe me a new shirt.......it's got coffee all over it!!! LOLOLOLOLOL
Yup -
Rush is playing some of it today -
"I'll get the terrorists before they can get you!" -- John Kerry - Friday, Sept. 24, 2004
Rush sez Kerry is trying to regain the women's vote -
Just the other day Kerry did his "single position on Iraq" Howard Dean speech:
"Wrong war, wrong time, wrong, wrong, wrong!" -- John Dean-Kerry
Sound like 1971 talking about Viet Nam to the US Senate?
