The Dutch have got it right: level back, powerful shoulders, and a head supporting some real choppers. They don't pure-breed them either which cuts down the health problems in such a small breed. They occasionally mix in some Malinois and great dane (note the head and the brindling). They vary a lot in size with males from 80-120 pounds (even with those lean proportions). The bigger ones are becoming popular as cop dogs in target-rich environments like South Florida, because they have the power to bring down the oversized, PCP-crazed hoods they have down there. Ours is just a pet (not bite-trainded, and a bitch), but she's the finest property, watch, and kid-protection dog I could have ever asked for.

He really is beautiful. He looks strong too. The way you described him I would have sworn he was an Akita. They share so many of the same traits. What is his name?
