My Lord, I simply cannot believe that a reporter would ask this slanted hate Bush type of question. WHO WAS THIS REPORTER??? Was Dan Rather there. Sheesh, this liberal biased hate Bush media is like a cancer.

Are you serious? This was an actual question asked by a reporter? It's like they gave Kerry his answer within the question...

This almost reads like a parody of a biased media. Damn.

Two days of taking questions from the press and either I missed it or I haven't heard one person from the press ask the Traitor to respond to allegations from the Swift Boat vets????

I'd be curious to know who the reporter was. It reads like it may have been a sarcastic comment directed against Kerry.

Kerry's diplomatic, nuanced response:

I think the prime minister is, obviously, contradicting his own statement of a few days ago, where he said the terrorists are pouring into the country. The prime minister and the president are here, obviously, to put their best face on the policy. But the fact is that the CIA estimates, the reporting, the ground operations and the troops all tell a different story.

Yesterday I read the report of a deputy director of the Provisional Coalition Authority. He's now returned to the United States. And his report was really pretty devastating. He wrote that we are losing the peace. He wrote that we are not getting the reconstruction aid out, that only 5 percent of the money has been spent. He wrote of the levels of unemployment and of the difficulties of people who are earning money throwing grenades at American soldiers. Then he told Congress there were 95,000. He didn't tell the truth to the Congress. There were 5,000 -- 5,000. That's a disgrace. It's a disgrace that the secretary of defense doesn't tell the truth to the American people. And it's a disgrace that this president doesn't hold anybody in his administration accountable for failure. These are not small miscalculations. These are miscalculations which are costing lives, costing America's reputation in the world. These are miscalculations of judgment. And that's what we hire a president for, is to exercise the right judgment. I think this president has exercised the wrong judgment from day one, and that's why we need a change.

Unbelievable. And they don't think they are biased. Unbelievable.

The mainstream media and press is no longer bias. They have chosen to be the cheerleaders for Kerry. This question does not surprise me one bit. Like I said in the past. You have to be deaf, blind, or stupid to not believe the media and press are pulling for Kerry.

FWIW, the "fantasy land" term came first from Kerry ...

Sep 16, 2004 6:35 pm US/Central (CBS) President Bush is "living in a fantasy world of spin," failing to tell U.S. troops or the American people the truth about the situation in Iraq, Democratic challenger John Kerry told National Guard veterans Thursday.

Kerry reminds me a high school debater who is assigned to "debate" a particular position and no matter what President Bush says or does, Kerry feels compelled to provide the high school debate rebuttal.

My Question to the Kerry Campaign:

Sir, you have said repeatedly that the President is living in another universe concerning Iraq and that he is lying to the American People. My question is, who in you campaign is on the ground in Iraq that is giving you up to the minute reports that would be better than the information that Iraq's on Prime Minister would have?

I wish they (the reporters) had to identify themselves like they used to...ya know. Mr President,Todd Takeurdream,
Socialist Sundown, do you think better communications with the UN would help cover up the oil for food program disaster and do you apologize for it?

I take that question as a slam on Kerry's position! Points out who really doesn't have a clue as to the conditions over in Iraq---Kerry.

I would like to ask Kerry this question, and hope that some bright newsperson does ask it:

"During your 18 years in the Senate, can you tell me which legislation that you wrote; you are most proud to have seen became law?"

LOL! I don't think that in 18 years, Kerry wrote even ONE bill that became law! Does anyone know how many successful bills that he "Co-sponsered"?

QUESTION: Prime Minister Allawi told Congress today that democracy was taking hold in Iraq and that the terrorists there were on the defensive. Is he living in the same fantasy land as the president?

Just as the media convinced us that we were losing in Vietnam after Tet68 (where we actually kicked major butt). They have also beat this horse so hard for the last year that even conservatives acknowledge that somehow Iraq "is a mess".

Come on people, get real. Iraq is a huge place, and there are a few hundred, maybe a few thousand people at most that know that all they have to do is get on the front pages of the NYTimes every day and they will "win".

If we can get them off the front pages, then it's over, we've won.

Terrorists can't militarily win anything. They're playing to the media, and we must do the same.
