Rafsanjani’s Weapons Deal
Rafsanjani has bought 86 Mill Helicopters from Russia Mill Helicopter Factory. They were all used! The newest one was manufactured in 1986!
The Russians just gave it a fresh paint job prior to delivery. The engines were not even overhauled. After about 200 Flying hours, most of them will be out of action as they need overhaul.
I can tell you for a fact that what they have purchased will not last 2 days in actual flying combat conditions!
The MI-35 has been so obsolete that they had to purchase the upgrade version. The upgrading of MI-35 costs around $350,000.He has paid on the average of $3,000,000 per helicopter and for 20 units of MI-35 upgrade an additional sum of $350,000 per helicopter.
However, the commissions on these helicopters to him were fantastic! He made 2 billion dollars!
He also purchased 9,000,000 rounds of Kalashnikov assault Rifle ammunitions along with 80,000 used Kalashnikov assault rifles.
The assault rifles were $450.00 each and ammunitions rounds were $2.50 a piece. The ammunitions were the only new product that came with 30 and 60 rounds rapid clips.

Rafsanjani made 2 billion dollars in commissions! His commission was deposited in a numbered account in Liechtenstein and some in the Isle of the Man off shore bank account.
IRI parliament had approved this purchase. Although there were some members that had questioned why Rafsanjani had to be the broker of this deal, Khamanei overruled the members and gave the green light for him to go ahead!
