This could be her October surprise but I really think that they're setting kerry up to fail so she can run in 2008. I still think that they're setting Bush up so that they can impeach him after the election. They hate his guts and they want him defeated in an ugly way.
I agree that Hillary's minions are behind Kerry's Democratic nomination and then his swirling down the toilet drain. I also believe that a Hillary operative was behind the CBS forged documents scandal. That little operation gave her two-for-the-price-of-one: first smear Bush, and then discredit Kerry.
If Hillary steps in, it's going to be a very ugly election. And she might succeed in stealing it.
If true, this scenario could be HUGH! Not about to happen, though; Hillary could have stormed the DNC, and have walked away with the nomination. She would have, too, if she and Slick had thought there was a chance in Hell of beating Dubya. They are in politics as if it were a business, and the trends are not in their favor this time around. Better to spend our energies over the next three years exposing Hillary as the beast she is -- before her exploratory efforts convince her that all has been forgiven or forgotten.
Hmmmmmm, what was that man's name that is supposed to be out to assasinate GWB and JK?
Oh good lord.
You failed to bring contrails into this. How can you expect us to take it seriously?
At what point is it too late for Hillary to become the candidate?
The biggest problem with this scenario is the fact that their candidates were already idiots. As I said before...ain't gonna happen.
in your dreams.....
No, but on the other hand, if by some disaster Kerry is elected President, he'll resign after four months, and President Edwards will appoint Hillary VP.
It's an uphill chore to educate. Sometimes I get energetic, and explain "the way the electoral college works," and why the name on the ballot is merely a convenience for the voter and for the party.
It's nice to see posts that at least correct the facts.
As for the efficacy of a substitution, I don't know. I can see Kerry resigning due to scandal -- that would be accepted by the public. But I don't see a way for the DEM party to pull a majority of the electoral votes in November, no matter who the nominal candidates (Pres/VP) are.
I mean C'mon! If Hillary had that much power and influence, she'd simply be the nominee from the beginning. But she doesn't. She's just an old hag hanging on to the fading glory of her husband. She'll be lucky to hang on to her senate seat in 2006, never mind running for president in 2008. By then, she'll be in the dustbin of history.
I've been hearing this nonsense for months now. Such as how Hillary was "waiting in the wings" at the DNC in Boston where the power brokers would huddle in smoke-filled rooms and urge her to "come to the rescue." I'm still laughing at that one.
Stop obsessing over Hillary. As a national candidate, she's unelectable which is why Kerry didn't consider her to be his running mate for a moment.
I've got to admit it would be a fitting end to kerry -- to be betrayed and destroyed by his own "comrades."
Pardon me while I laugh at your tin foil hat.
They're still going to be looking under the bed and saying this in December.
This is legally impossible, I think. Hillary couldn't get on the ballot in all 50 states at this late date. In New Jersey you can depend on leftist Democrats to skirt the law as they did in 2002, but in all 50 states? No way.
Sometimes we attribute God-like powers to the Clintons. They're not all-powerful.
They can't get bunched, they're not tinfoil either. Besides, I'm having too much fun with this stuff.
It's been changed to "Pajamarazzi" !!!
