Yes, we know the tribes were killing and enslaving one another, did grisly scalpings and all. Still, there could be something to learn at the museum. Why not?

It takes no great leap of intelect to realize nomadic tribes were nomadic for a reason. It would not take long for a campsite to become grazed out and fecal. Maintaining health would demand moving on.
That said, there were sedentary tribes (the Mandan come to mind), who managed to do reasonably well in fixed villages.
As for the evils of humanity, no one is immune. Every culture has its examples of murder, infanticide, rape, slavery, and torture for entertainment, etc.: they persist in the world to this day.
Bias? yep, you'll see some, for sure.
