The point is that a reporter from Boston Globe interviewed Burkett back in February, but when his story didn't check out, he had sense enough, not to publish it, unlike USAToday, who apparently swallowed his stories hook, line and sinker, without checking them.
And the funny thing is that this person supposedly approached Burkett after seeing him on Hardball earlier this year. I'm watching Chris Matthews now, and it's clear he thinks Burkett is a liar and a lunatic. He seems genuinely appalled that CBS would rely on him as the source for these documents, given all the tall tales he's told before.
