What arrogance. For many years TIME did not even given by-lines. That was to further the tone of omniscience the magazine affected. Fact is a lot of authors use non de plumes (whatever, you see I have no French). It allows more freedom of expression.

Early in the history of our republic there were a few very important commentaries posted under the alias of Publius. They were called The Federalist Papers.

For example, Benjamin Franklin.

While leftists always l ike to claim they are in the middle, I don't claim to be a moderate. I don't like the term radical, I prefer the term extremist, because it sounds cooler.
