I can't believe I didn't watch the political shows tonight. I'm out of the loop. So I hope the below won't sound dated and silly.
What I'm thinking is, someone with Army background had to be involved in composing the memos. Burkett's a Guard guy and would have used Guard lingo. Max Cleland was Army, right? So maybe it went like this: Burkett to Cleland. Cleland to Kerry Camp for typing and the like, and then to Mapes. Something like that.
When Slick Willy (I use that tired old epithet cause he hates it) spoke to Kerry on the phone and the story came out that Bill said, "John, don't talk about Vietnam anymore" I wondered - why are we being told this? Why is this in the press? 2-3 days later, the CBS story hits. CBS story was coordinated to be followed by DNC 'Fortunate Son."
It all stinks to high heaven! Yippee!
However, while we are enjoying this most heartily now - if I may speak for all Republicans and Conservatives everywhere - it's going to come back like bad food - as the Hillary 2008 Presidential Campaign.
So let's gather those rosebuds! (Am I the only one who dreams of seeing Terry McAuliffe in an orange jumpsuit?)
I work in the media and lately all I hear is, "I'm so sick of this story" and "I wish we didn't have to do this story." I got news for you poorleft-leaning kids, it's just getting good!
