This scenario makes sense to me- but it leaves us wondering WHO created the forgeries...and how many people were involved in passing them to CBS...
Don't know if there is one set of docs or two but Rolling_Stone post #311 has links, which I can't get to work for me, that show the similarity of the forged documents to some Kerry Navy documents. Looks like some low level operator in the Kerry campaign made up the docs but didn't know enough to know the services are different. Who knows where they sent them before they finally found someone gullible enough to surface them, undoubted CBS and Mr. Rather were just waiting with baited breath for them to show up, then off to the races.
