But you have to admit, it is not just the bombers themselves. They dance in the streets when Americans die. Is it truly "radical Islam" or just plain Islam?
I believe the Cold war is a bad example because it was a Cold War. This is a very hot war. Again, analogizing to past hot wars, we did not talk about the "moderate fascist" or the "Shinto street." That is the path of half-measures.

I just saw the video. My new tagline says it all.

Why the hell do people like you post the same crap about the people who post the same crap time after time after time?
My proposed solution is centimation. I have to figure we have a few aging neutron bombs in the arsenal that can be used to send a message without destroying ancient buildings that we can subsequently use as museums....

Nothing to apologize for i think. I did not watch this specific video, but I watched most of the ones before.
Feeling of impotence is only due to media not showing the footage of all the terrorists US Army and Marines are killing every day. US military should release videos of the terrorist corpses.
Today Ramadi was hit from what I understand. I wonder how many islamists are rotting on the streets. Many of them die/died in no less pain. They have little medical help, so in heat and dirt with wound infections make it tons of fun for them until their transition the the virgin "paradise".
If any people who are connected to kidnapings do get caught I think public execution with nice couple hours of torture before death would be a good punishment.

Where are these "innocent Muslim Americans" protesting the actions of their co-religionists? Instead, all we hear from Muslim groups is whining about how our WoT infringes on their civil liberties to send money to terror groups.

If you interchanged the words black and females for jews and christians, there'd be global outrage. I just don't get the tolerance. I get the tolerance --- I remember growing learning about the Nazis and the Holocaust --- and we wondered how it could ever have happened, how the world then allowed it --- but it's like history is repeating itself --- but it's even worse. We're just like Europe was when Hitler and the Nazis were gaining power, committing atrocities but getting by with it.
Just like back in those times, we refuse to see this for what it is.

I do have to admit that, true. I don't think the ones doing the dancing are the ones I would want to save. Ideologically, they have chosen their side.
I hated all muslims a short while ago, and God gave me a gift. I had a business meeting with a Kurd who fought in Saddam's army in the first Gulf War. He was forced to at gun point. He said they rejoiced when American bombers flew over them. I was in this man's home. He is today a very productive member of our society, building roads and studying for a promotion. He has three wonderfully-mannered children, a supportive, quiet wife, and amazing hospitality. I stayed too long, but only because he made it clear I would have insulted him if I wouldn't have allowed him to be hospitable. He was visibly upset when I would not have watermelon with him, so I had some. He was a thoroughly decent human being. He is a great American, and he knows more about our country than many of the folks who rant here, and he loves his freedom equally to any of us. I'm not one of those people who sees a funny cloud formation and says God made it for me. But I do believe I was put in that man's house to teach me that people are people. Governments, religions, all manner of things corrupt people. For our enemies, I say kill them. But I would truly grieve for the loss of any families like this man who are unwilling participants in the evil surrounding them.

Kurtz? I know I'm going to feel like an idiot when you explain, but who are you referring to?

The only question is how many of us they will take with them before we do what needs to be done.WWII had to go on for a while --- almost until it was too late before Americans got shook up enough to do something.
The problem with people today is they think wars can be won by political correctness but there is nothing in history that supports that --- it's almost like an arrogance that we're so civilized, so much superior to past generations that we came up with a new way to win wars.

I am sure there were some beautiful people in Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. Yet those folks did not rise against their leaders, just as the Islamic world has not risen against this generation of fascism. Do you honestly doubt that if the Islamists win, those wonderful people will stand in protest?

"One could say the same thing about the American (majority Christian) occupying force mistreating innocent Muslim citizens in Iraq." You're full of it. Hypocrite, much??

If the vast majority of Muslims are peaceful, why are they not bringing us the terrorists in chains or body bags? Never before have we heard about how our enemy populations are really "misunderstood."
Lincoln did not worry about "moderate Confederates." Wilson did not tell the American people to get along with "peaceful" German imperialists. FDR did not tell America to love the "vast majority of fascists." Truman did not worry about the "Japanese street." In the past, our leaders have understood that when we are at war, we kill the enemy until they are broken. Right now, the Muslim world is far from broken.

Heart of Darkness (or Apocalypse Now). Don't feel like an idiot. I don't get half the references folks like Victor Davis Hanson make.

Just like how we had a "new economy."
