If CBS wanted to negotiate with Burkett they wouldn't have sent Dan.
Ah! But! I think Dan's is so full of himself he thinks he can convince this guy it's the best thing to do! That would need to come from Dan himself to make it look like he is sincere don't ya think.
CBS is sending a trial balloon.
1. Right wingers (acting anonymously)created documents and fed them to Burkett.
2. Burkett believed them BECAUSE THEY ACURATELY RECREATE THE MEMOS HE SAW IN THE TRASHBIN. He is unimpeachable because he is the only person to have seen the originals.
3. CBS believed it because Burkett was so sure. The quality of the documents was so poor, they relied on Burkett's memory of the CONTENT.
4. Right wingers identified them sooo quickly because they created them in the first place.
5. CBS actually has done quality reporting because they have exposed the hoax that almost fooled them.
This, I believe, will be Blather's conclusion in his interview with Burkett.
