"First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life, godly and respectful in every way." 1 Timothy 2:1-2.
May each thought we have of our President, his family, his administration, those charged with his safety ... may each become a prayer for protection ... may each be a prayer for intercession in our national life ... may each become a prayer of thanksgiving for America.
We do not forget, Merciful Father, that many are those who would destroy us. We continually plead that all plans of evil against President Bush and Vice President Cheney would not prevail ... send them back onto the enemy. Keep us vigilant and immune from the guile of evil that is deceptive and false. Stir the people to reject the lies and the slander ... may the rejection be so overwhelming that the enemies of truth and freedom are utterly destroyed.
May it be thus, O God, in the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...
