It is more than "in and around Seattle." 60 mi south in Olympia it is extremely liberal with the state capital and Evergreen State College. Last presidential election we couldn't keep the big 4x8 Bush/Cheny signs up in the area. Tore down, put back up, tore down... On top of that spray painted with words such as "F..." you know the rest.

Number of signs may not mean anything. Last time I remember people calling in to talk shows regarding how many more signs Bush had than Gore in the Pac. Coast states. Gore won OR. WA. & CA

Also did anyone notice how many more (by a LARGE #) Dem votes vs Rep. votes in the Primary. It was so lopsided that crossover would not account for the big diff. Apparently only 30 some % voted. Don't know how that will pan out in primary. So far the visual evidence is very Kerry in my area.

Another difference this year is the talk I have heard directly from the young voters who are energized and want to "raise money so we can defeat Bush". They are really adamant. Not ones to sit on the fence come vote day.
