Good point. But, IMO, it's fairly critical that we get a better handle on things there. Perhaps we will soon. I have read here recently that the North Vietnames considered themselves defeated, but hung on because the antiwar movement made them think that if they only hung on, they could win anyway.
It makes sense that the Saudis and Iranians are hoping, with the help of the Left, for a similar result.
IMO, we need more people over there, but are prevented form doing that because of political considerations.
