Exactly, it seems the NYT is building the case that the Kerryistas secretly referred the forger to CBS, for THEM to follow it up, which is how this is done. That way they can claim no connection.
Some on this thread fear the NYT is covering for CBS. But I'm with those thinking the journal sharks are smelling blood. (By the way, they seem to be sidestepping Van Os in this piece, though his connections to the DNC are deep.)
It doesn't matter, sooner or later some shark connects the unconnected dots. It's what makes them tick.
