I listen to Laura, but I feel her show is more of a "pop" talk show. What I mean by this is that she just takes calls, does interviews, and plays different audio clips. It's more 'fast paced' (kinda like MTV for talk radio) than other shows I hear.

I just discovered her show in the past month or so. I love it! I thought I had to listen to boring morning shows until I found her. But I know what you mean. The segments are painfully short and choppy. It is actually more like the Sesame Street of conservative radio. She is witty and fast with the quips, and her producer is, too. She can laugh at herself. She is the best woman on the air, bar none.

I just wish the segments were longer.

I am not a huge Hendrie fan and turn the station to Al Rantel when he is on. Last year, though, when I had a newborn, I would have to go in and rock him to get him back to sleep, and I couldn't get to the radio to change the station, so Phil would be on occasionally as I rocked. Several times, just ONE LINE said by either Phil or one of "Phil's" guests was SO HILARIOUS it took 100% of my mind and body to not INVOLUNTARILY guffaw while trying to put the babe to sleep.

Wish I could think of an example right now.

Did you hear Barry and Cruella do that hilarious bit last summer on "Foods that...?" He's absolutely the best on radio as far as I'm concerned.

Matt is too depressing. He is always negative. He is never ANYTHING but negative and bitter-sounding. He of course has great scoops and all, but he isn't fun to start the week with. Has anyone ever heard him happy??

I'm so disappointed that Larry doesn't show up more on this thread, he really is one of the better ones out there.

I think it was on purpose.

I'm not sure, I've seen mentions of him here before, and usually when his name is mentioned, someone brings up how he shot his own dog.

Don't you think his act is irritating? He's trying to make Leftism palatable to Americans who can't stand the Rat base voters.

No, I think I missed it.

He makes me laugh when he imitates women's voices. :)

I don't understand the infatuation with all the big name talk show hosts who in effect have become the cheerleaders of the Republican party, which I don't have a problem with, but there are other things going on that need to be reported that they won't touch. Do they talk about government confiscation of private property of people like Wayne Hague, or Kit Laney, not that I've heard.

Derry Brownfield is my favorite Constitutionalist talk show host, he talks about those storys, and more.

My numero uno.

After Rush, sigh, there is Al Rantel, with whom I almost never disagree; Larry Elder, the handsome and smart Republitarian; Hannity, with great guests and always on the hot topic of the day; and my new fun mornings with Laura Ingraham. It is more fun waking up with her show on -- I end up laughing.

Honorable mentions to Dennis Prager, excellent moralist but somehow missing a sense of humor entirely; John Kobylt of John and Ken, provocateur who has become a true activist and made things happen; and Doug McIntyre until very recently when he decided that his party, the Republicans, was exactly as bad as the Democrats, for his extensive historical knowledge and acid wit.

Haven't read the thread, and I really don't listen to that much radio these days, but I wanted to throw my two cents worth in.

My favorite has been Michael Reagan for a long time.

Rush "The Original" and the best.

I am not singling you out but I need to comment here. Rush went off the rails about six years ago. Not sure why, so I won't speculate.
I started listening to Rush around 1990 when a (female) friend introduced me to the word feminazi and concluded that I would enjoy its inventor. I did.

Around 1998 he went nuts talking about golf, celebrities, cigars and football. His political humor and insight was fill-in. I bailed. By 2000 I had stopped listening to him entirely.

R.I.P.

It's a difficult choice. Rush is the king. I mean he is the Tom Paine of conservatism.

On the other hand, Mark Levin is a verbal assassin. The best thing we have against douche libs on T.V. and radio. I would put him up against anybody in a debate.

I would say they're tied for first
