Tornado Reports aren't tornadoes.
The problem is the official tally of tornadoes comes out months after the day they occur, and because many of the reports turn out to be bogus, or multiple reports of the same tornado, it often results in a total actual number of tornadoes 1/3rd or 1/4th of the "reports."
well, yes, but so much for Ivan hanging out in TN for two days, then exiting east to the Atlantic.
If it looks like one acts like one who cares what they call it 60 days from now...they happen to be the weather experts...and are "allowed" to be wrong (and are) 50% of the time...before and after...take cover and play it safe!
