There are three themes. The first, obviously, is a platform to expose the craziness that has emerged on the left side of the political spectrum since 9/11. The second theme grew out of that: it became abundantly clear that my photo essays were revealing aspects of these rallies and events that were not being covered by the mainstream media. I would post photos and videos of extreme lunacy at some event, and then the "legitimate" media would come out with their own story on the same event, and it would be a total whitewash -- they would hide what really went on. So more and more I made it my mission to expose not just went on at this or that rally, but to show how the media is biased in covering it. I emphasized my point with a mini-essay I called "Anatomy of a Photograph," showing how a photo of a protester published in the San Francisco Chronicle was intentionally misleading. That mini-essay got a massive amount of attention, showing that the public is also hungry for incisive media analysis. So, that has become the second theme of zombietime -- analyzing media bias. Thirdly, I have used zombietime and my reputation as zombie to promote the notion of "citizen journalism" -- individual non-professionals who go out and report on the news themselves.'

I named her unhinged academic of the year back in July. Now, she's really living up to the title as 2006 comes to a close. Deborah Frisch, the infamous left-wing blogger/stalker who threatened Protein Wisdom blogger Jeff Goldstein and his family, had an arrest warrant issued against her today. Jeralyn Merritt of TalkLeft attended the hearing and reports the details:

Well, gang, I have not gotten my feet under me enough this morning to check out the reaction to yesterday’s Frischmas festival in Colorado, but I have been told that there is quite a little blogstorm around the web.

Here is what I know. Since it has been published before, I don’t think I am breaking any confidences.

Yesterday Dr. Deborah Frisch was to appear before a Colorado Judge on contempt charges. She failed to show up, but was represented by her lawbaw. Since she couldn’t be bothered to appear in person, the Judge took appropriate action and issued a warrant for her arrest. Her lawbaw is reported to say that the warrant is unlikely to be served out of state.

I imagine that she is, at this very moment, thinking how smart she is and how she really took ‘ol Jeff to the cleaners. Lawyeers out there, please correct me if I am wrong but, I suspect that she is dead wrong. Not dead wrong like “Dead Sexy” just plain 100% wrong.

More as I learn more. This promises to be a very busy Frischmas morning.

I wonder how her probation officer in Oregon would feel about this…

So, is violation of a court order, failure to appear, a finding of contempt of court, and an arrest warrant something the Oregon probation officer and DA will consider a violation of the probation terms? Could this land her in the Lane County slammer or cost her more money in the Oregon harassment case?
Me thinks she probably didn’t tell her Denver lawyer about the probation terms before she decided to activate an arrest warrant she *knew* was issued last week and held pending her non-appearance today. Or, maybe she thinks this won’t catch up with her.

Well, that’s just sweet.

Even if Debvile is never arrested on the bench warrant from Colorado, it’ll show up on here every time she interacts with the Green Can Men (or any other officers of the law), and she’ll be hauled down to the holding tank to wait a couple of days until the Colorado cops decline to extradite her.

Oregon is a “catch and release” state, with that foolish matrix they use, but having an out of state warrant pending will prevent Debvile from being released until Colorado says they don’t want her.

Each and every time.

Dr. Frisch has removed her website, but many of her posts and comments can still be found on Technorati and Google.
After the Frisch-Goldstein drama, Frisch was charged in Oregon with stalking and telephone harassment in a matter unrelated to Goldstein.
Meanwhile, Goldstein obtained a restraining order against Frisch in Denver. Alleging she violated the order, he then obtained a contempt citation against her. When she didn't appear last week to show cause why she shouldn't be held in contempt of court, the matter was continued until today. ...
