Thanks for heading me in this direction. I'm still trying to find info on the NAS side of town, "west side". That is where our home and friends are. If anyone hears or sees anything, could you please give me a yell. And if by chance anyone sees anything on Little Flower Catholic Church/School on Lillian Hwy, also give me a yell. My 9 and 12 yr olds are very concerned about their school and classmates.
Okaloosa Island - Extensive flooding, some lower level and roof damage to most buildings. Bridges from Destin and FWB closed, no access to island.
MAry Ester (Hurlburt Field) - Moderate Damage, mostly roofs and trees.
Navarre - Severe Damage, most building with roof damage, window damage etc.
Navarre Beach - innaccessable, utter devestation. Said not much looks to be standing viewing from the other side of the sound -- going to take a lot of rebuilding.
Gulf Breeze - Severe Damage to alot of building, Most structures at least took some damage. Trees laid flat or ripped bare. US 98 Bridge to pensacola severely damage, partial collapse of roadway on Gulf Breeze side.
Pensacola - could not get across bridge but said Bayview drive has collapsed, reports are that most of Pensacola Beach is a total loss.
