I think President Bush would be just the kind of cool and decent man to see this photo, be moved to compassion, and have a new Bush-Cheney sign for her, autographed, and delivered by a local campaign official to her through Dad.
She might not understand it right away, but she'll grow up treasuring it, and understanding later.

I think President Bush would be just the kind of cool... That's true, but the real test is whether John Kerry will send her an apology. Now that would be a class act, which is why I don't expect it to happen.

Unfortunately, the boy didn't make it, the family were not well off and could not afford his funeral expenses. Bush took care of the costs anonomously.
