I think President Bush would be just the kind of cool and decent man to see this photo, be moved to compassion, and have a new Bush-Cheney sign for her, autographed, and delivered by a local campaign official to her through Dad.

She might not understand it right away, but she'll grow up treasuring it, and understanding later.

That's true, but the real test is whether John Kerry will send her an apology. Now that would be a class act, which is why I don't expect it to happen.

You could be right, I heard a story about a young boy who had a tragic accident on a neighboring farm to Bush's (the boy fell in a pond) on hearing about it he dispatched his secret service detail to assist, and provided his helicopter to fly the boy to the hospital.

Unfortunately, the boy didn't make it, the family were not well off and could not afford his funeral expenses. Bush took care of the costs anonomously.
