As a fundamentalist lady, I would hope not :-). She can be just as warlike in a nice long dress and tasteful hat!
But joking aside, this is the kind of thing that can turn a person into the *right* kind of "militant" - the kind that's armed with the truth, and not with nastiness. I'm sure the family will grow stronger and more committed.
Further down the thread, it's mentioned that the family has 10 children. A family with 10 children in West Virginia is probably of the long-dress-and-Sunday-hat sort ... no bellies showing :-).
